Some Frequently Asked Questions
Can I try the club on a trial basis before I pay dues
Yes. You have 30 days to decide if our club is the right fit for you before you are required to pay your annual dues. However during your "trial" period you will be limited to attending public events. Any activity at a member's home is limited to other paying members simply for safety reasons.
How often do you meet?
We have activities up to four times a week, You can pick and choose which activities you are interested in and which you want to attend. None are obligatory. However, we do have a member meeting once a month and all members are encouraged to attend if at all possible. This event is where we talk about our club and we always look forward to hearing the opinions and feedback from our members. Your input makes us better.
Why are there annual dues?
MOMS Club Clovis / Sanger is a local chapter of International MOMS club, which provides each chapter with support, organizational structure and accountability. there is a nominal fee that each chapter pays annually to be a part of the international MOMS Club organization. The annual member dues not only help cover this cost, but also costs that may arise from some of our more fun activities such as kids crafts. It is our mission to keep member dues as low as possible and affordable for all interested mothers.
What are the club boundaries?
Our chapter, MOMS Club of Clovis / Sanger covers any mother who lives south of Herndon and east of Willow in Clovis and / or Sanger. Although we will not turn down an interested member, we will recommend the club closest in proximity to a member's home. This makes activities easily accessible and alleviates long drive times since most activities will be centered around or within our "boundaries". There are two other clubs in the Fresno and Clovis areas if your home falls outside the above territory. Feel free to contact us and our Membership VP will gladly refer you to the correct club based on where you live.
Can another family member bring my child to an activity if I am unable to do so?
We welcome a periodic family member to accompany YOU on a publically-hosted activity, such as a field trip, however we do not permit family members to take your children to activities in your absence. This is for the safety and liability of your child and our club. Only the member may take children to activities. If you are a member but are bringing another child with you such as a grandchild or niece or nephew we would welcome that child, however, would ask that you have their legal guardian fill out a waiver form.
What are the ages of the kids attending?
The majority of the kids in the group range between 0-6 years old. However, we do have older siblings who attend on occasion for afternoon activities, field trips, and summer activities.
In addition to the annual membership fee are there any additional costs?
No, not to be a part of the club. However, there may be some events that may require a few additional dollars to attend such as a field trip, a particular craft (usually a mom's craft for which supplies need to be purchased), or a Mom's Night Out / In (either a small contribution if hosted to help cover the host's costs or if at a restaurant whatever is needed to cover yourself). However, you can choose whether to attend and all associated costs will be disclosed upfront so you can make an informed decision.
